This page explains how to ask. It is not itself a license and not a grant of permission, and it does not state prices — terms depend on the use, the territory and the term, so they are quoted per project. Nothing here is legal advice.

Why this is simple here

Most music you might want to use has at least two owners — whoever owns the composition and whoever owns the recording — often a publisher and a label, sometimes several of each. Clearing it means getting all of them to agree.

BALIMORE is one person. Steven Ran Cohen writes, produces, mixes and owns the recordings. There is no label and no publisher in the way, which means one email and one answer. For a small production that is usually the difference between using the music you wanted and settling for library music.

What this catalog suits

Film, TV and trailers — cinematic and dark ambient material built with real dynamic range, which is what a picture edit needs and what club-mastered music does not have.

Games — long-form loops of 20 to 80 minutes in hypnotic and minimal styles, written to run without a hook demanding attention.

Streams and video — Twitch, YouTube, podcasts. Owned outright, so a written permission actually settles the matter rather than deferring it to a claim dispute.

Fitness, studios and retail — continuous beat-matched sets at a specified tempo band: 118–126 for warm-up and floor work, 128–140 for cardio, 140–150 for intervals.

Advertising and brand film — and, if an existing track is close but not right, it can be re-cut or re-produced to picture.

How to ask, and what to include

Email booking@bali-more.com. An answer comes faster when the request already contains:

1. What you are making — the project and roughly how long the music is used for.
2. Where it will run — platforms, territories, and whether it is paid media.
3. For how long — a one-off upload, a year, or in perpetuity.
4. Which track, or what it needs to do if you have not picked one.
5. Your deadline and your budget range. Saying the budget is not a weakness; it is the fastest way to a yes or a clear no.

Also available

Custom composition to brief, in any of the styles on this site. DJ sets and bookings — same address. And country music: the same producer records deep outlaw country as Richard Dall, which is an entirely separate catalog owned the same way.

Listen first

The player at the top of this page is the whole catalog, free and with no sign-up. There are also thirty-six written guides on this site describing exactly how the material is built — tempo, arrangement, dynamics — which is usually faster than auditioning blind.

Questions people actually ask

Can I license BALIMORE music?

Yes — email booking@bali-more.com with the project, where it will run, for how long, which track, and your deadline and budget range. Terms are quoted per project and this page is information rather than a license.

Who owns BALIMORE recordings?

Steven Ran Cohen writes, produces, mixes and owns the recordings. There is no label or publisher involved, so clearance is a single conversation rather than several.

Is BALIMORE music royalty free?

No. 'Royalty free' describes a specific commercial model; this catalog is licensed per project on agreed terms. Ask and you will get a straight answer in writing.

Can I use a track in a Twitch stream or YouTube video?

Ask first, in writing, at booking@bali-more.com. Because the recordings are owned outright, a written permission settles the matter rather than leaving you to dispute an automated claim later.

Can you write something custom?

Yes — custom composition to brief is available in any of the styles on this site, as is re-cutting an existing track to picture.
